Founded in 1966, with a production plant near Parma and the commercial offices in Milan, Laterlite started the successful diffusion of the Laterlite brand in the construction industry.

 

In 1973 a plant at Campobasso was also opened. It is in these years that the first insulating applications in the construction industry are introduced and Lecablocco starts,  developing to this day new block products focussed on emphasizing the thermal, acoustic, fire resistance and architectural characteristics of expanded clay.

Laterlite grows together with the culture for thermal insulation and the lightening of structures with expanded clay. 

At the start of the 90’s Laterlite Più is produced for the first time, the water repellent expanded clay that does not absorb water, used for the latest generation of Latermix readymix products: for screeds, foundations, rooftops and structural lightweight concrete. 

Laterlite is also used in various sectors, geotechnical, for light landfills, roads, tarmac, drainage, as a filler behind sustaining walls, for sound barriers, hanging gardens  and green applications in general.
